Fern & Finch began with a desire to bring people together. The name came later, a reflection of two places that shaped us, both of them feeling like home. The Fern carries the calm, green hush of the Pacific Northwest, where mornings are wrapped in fog, you get the smell of rain, and your coffee warms cold hands. The Finch carries a Southern warmth you can feel in the way conversations linger and how goodbye always turns into one more minute.
Those two spirits met somewhere in the middle and built this place. It’s held together by small things, like the sense of calm that settles in with your first sip. Yes, it’s coffee, but it’s also the soft hum of conversation, the small kindnesses traded across a counter, and the quiet knowing that you’ve landed somewhere that feels like it remembers you.

Meet Tim and Jodelle
Tim and Jodelle built this dream the same way they’ve built everything: with faith, hard work, and a genuine love for people. Tim’s naval career brought him north to Seattle, where he met Jodelle. As she likes to tell it, “The Navy brought him to Seattle… I kept him there.”
They raised three kids on good food, good company, and a home that always had room for one more. That same spirit now lives at Fern & Finch, where Jodelle leads with the same warmth and intuition. Tim balances his own full-time career while supporting from behind the scenes. His business acumen and steady perspective continue to shape the vision they share, a life and now a space built on connection.

From Our Home to Yours
When we moved to Flower Mound, we brought our Northwest roots and Southern heart with us. Fern & Finch grew from the same values that shaped our home: warmth, care, and a deep love for community.
We call it “LYMI.” It’s our shorthand way of saying love you, mean it. It’s the kind of love we hope you feel in this space, too.
